What do CHHA do?

A CHHA provides essential non-medical care to individuals who need assistance at home due to aging, illness, disability, or recovery from surgery. CHHAs play a vital role in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Our Certified Homemaker-Health Aide (CHHA) training program is fully approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing and designed to prepare students for a meaningful, in-demand career in home health care.

The course is led by an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) educator with extensive teaching and hands-on clinical experience. Training focuses on real-world caregiving skills, safety, professionalism, and compassionate care—ensuring graduates are confident and job-ready.

Upon successful completion, students are eligible to work as Certified Homemaker-Health Aides throughout New Jersey. The graduates must submit an application to the state and go through a criminal background check.
